At last, Wesley G.'s CD, recorded with Bruce Forman and a rhythm section, is out: “Wesley G. meets Bruce Forman”

Two of what I consider to be the greatest jazz guitarists of our time got together to put a new spin on some standards. I’m naturally very pleased that Wesley and Bruce recorded the CD using two Sonntag J17H Elektras. It’s great to hear how my guitars sound in the hands of two true masters.

Wesley and Bruce met through the workshops I organize with Bruce Forman. Wesley has been a longtime fan of Bruce’s, and after one of the workshops, he seized the opportunity to go on a short tour with Bruce. The two hit it off musically right away! It was a give-and-take, and a joy to hear them play together.

So Wesley made his dream come true, organized the studio, and spent a weekend there with Bruce recording this CD. We’re all lucky, because their music sounds just as spontaneous and live as it was played.
